ENVIRONMENT 

Our company develops and implements its environmental policy as well as manages its environmental aspects to conduct business in a socially responsible and ethical manner that seeks to protect the environment. Our goal is to be a leader in environmental practices by emphasizing innovative and creative solutions and continually improving our environmental performance.

 

SHATHCO Environmental Policy has defined the following:

 

• Is appropriate to the nature, scale, and environmental impacts of its activities, products, and services.

• Includes a commitment to continual improvement and prevention of pollution.

• Includes a commitment to comply with applicable legal requirements and with other requirements to which our company subscribes which relate to its environmental aspects.

• Provides the framework for setting and reviewing environmental objectives and targets.

• Is documented, implemented, and maintained.

• Is communicated to all persons working for or on behalf of our company, and

• Is available to the public.

 

The policy is reviewed annually as part of the management review. The re-approval of the Policy shall be recorded in the minutes of the management review. The policy is also a part of each employee’s training and teaching thus ensuring that every person employed is aware of and understands the Policy. The Environment Policy provides the framework for establishing environmental objectives.

 

In line with the requirements of the standard and The Company's Environment Policy, a pre-program continuous improvement will be adopted. Corrective and Preventive Actions will form an integral part of the improvement activities.

• Participate in the development of environmental legislation, regulation or policy issues that may significantly impact our business.

• Work proactively with appropriate government agencies to ensure timely, reasonable, and cost-effective solutions for issues.

• Follow relevant standards, good engineering practices, and risk management principles to ensure SHATHCO Construction Company’s environmental protection activities are conducted responsibly.

• Ensure adequate resources are available to comply with this policy.

• Conserve company and natural resources by careful management of emissions and discharges, and by minimizing waste generation.

• Require that all employees are held responsible for compliance with all policies, procedures, practices, and laws applicable to their duties.
